| 54992 | 2002-06-18 09:52:00 | help me, i'm goin banana's. I have a small network with three pc's and want to share my internet connection. i cant use Win ICS as one pc is win95. Simply install and run on the host, plus follow the simple instructions to set up the client PC's (no installation required on clients). Here's a few tips: Disable all firewalls first. You can set these up once you know the network works. This way problems can be quickly isolated. You will not be able to use file sharing apps like kazaa or audio galaxy as they require a proxy using the sock5 protocol. (even then they are dodgy). There are no no-fuss apps out there with socks5 (at least as far as I have found, and I did a fairly extensive search quite recently). You can get it from <www.webattack.com G P |
