| 54995 | 2002-06-18 09:48:00 | Hi Can someone help me out here, it will be really grateful. This is the problem I have a computer with 2 Win98Se, one is in Chinese and one is in English(which I always use and always updated). Problem is I recently notice that I was not able to connect onto the net with any ISP in the English window. It keeps telling me the '629 error'. The IE for the English window is IE5.5 and the Chinese one is IE4 or 5. And the Chinese one logs on to the net perfectly. One of my friend lend his account to try it out, but it didn't work at all in the English one but perfectly in the Chinese one. I also tried to set the english setting same as the Chinese one but there were some settings there that there wasn't in the English window. So what I trying to say is what happened to my English window? So if anyone can help me out here it will be really grateful. Thanks alot Jase Sen |

It could be that the Chinese one logs on automatically at startup and that either Windows or your ISP will not allow you to access your account from both at the same time. Did the english one used to work previously? Have you changed anything in the setup/configuration since then? | Guest (0)

So I don't think that the Chinese one will log on to the net automatically. The only ISP that I've been use in the past was Zfree and i4free both of these ISP worked perfectly on both windows. | Guest (0)
