| 55124 | 2002-06-19 01:14:00 | Under Windows 98SE and Outlook Express 5.5, attached JPEGs open automatically in the preview pane. How do I stop this? It didn't happen under 5.0. | Guest (0) | ||

You can also make a rule that highlights, blocks or even deletes any messages with attachments. Go, Tools> Message Rules> Mail Rules> New (button), sroll down in box 1 untill you find the rule you wish to apply (Where the message contains an attachment) in box 2 check the action you want to apply eg. Highlite it with colour. Box 3 select your colour by clicking on the colour link. Box 4, give your rule a name, if rule # 1 doesn't grab you. Have a look around in there. you can block people or addresses, delete, etc. HTH Murray P PS> Having the preview pane turned off is a safer option to help avoid self activating nasties attached or hidden in emails. |
