| 55441 | 2002-06-20 23:07:00 | I've finally dared to look at the world outside my CHCH cave, it is wet cold and miserable. I thinks i might spend the day burning rubbish in the fireplace, and sitting in front of Vanessas screen. I might even talk about computers with someone! |

Was a tad concerned about the chimney last night (so logged off and hid in the basement for a while) and I'm still really stunned that we didn't lose the power. And guess what? It's Stopped Raining! A cave sounds like an excellent idea. After last night a bomb shelter might be even better. Where can I find one? |

We'll have the core technology room in the cave me thinks, and guess where we will hide during weather like this... | Chris Wilson (431) | ||

| 55446 | 2002-06-21 00:54:00 | Yeah. It was pretty exciting earlier in the year when lightening hit a tree 20 metres from the house. My daughter saw it, I only heard it. | Heather P (163) | ||

| 55449 | 2002-06-21 03:31:00 | So much for boasting . Shortly afterwards a huge gust of wind hit the house and . . . . the power went out . 1st step on restoration - turn on computer; 2nd step - make fresh coffee; 3rd step - log into net . Coffee should be ready shortly . |
