| 55372 | 2002-06-20 09:18:00 | My 7.1 version of directx would not work,therefore i deleted it and downloaded v8.1 from the imag cd. That also don't work. I get a message c:/windows/system.dxdiag.exe is not a valid WIN32 application. Can anybody help? Am operating Win 98. |

| 55373 | 2002-06-20 10:34:00 | Curious as to how you deleted 7.1, as it was an upgrade (Win 98 shipped with 6.x) I would have thought uninstalling would have been a nightmare as it integrates with Win 98. The fact 7.1 wasn't working also suggests the problem may be deeper, and you may want to consider reloading Windows 98 if you have not done so recently (after backing up all your data)? |
