55747 2002-06-21 03:23:00 I have said it many times already but I just can't stress it enough . Thank you Everyone for the new F1 .

I was going to ask a question regarding links . But then thought . .

'Why don't I read the help file' and sure enough the answer was in there . What a great Idea .

The FAQ's is a good Idea also . I would love to volenteer to help out with the FAQ's but I am only an IT Student, so I am still learning myself, and doubt my answers would make the cut .

Don't worry though I will still try to answer any other questions that others may come post up .

I love the new look of the site . Infact I love everything about the new site, and I keep finding new good things about this site .

So to Susan B, Tweak e, Robo, The IDG Staff and all of the other beta testers that I can't remember your names, (sorry) THANK YOU

:D :D

I knew there had to be someone out there who would read the freakin manual. You have restore dmy faith in humanity ....

55751 2002-06-21 05:57:00 The problem is that the manual is too often "not much freakin good" . Even if there *is* a manual . Many manuals are produced by technical writers who have been told what the marketing geeks *wished* the software did . My rule is: "the thicker the manual, the less information" . I remember the OS/8 Software Support Manual --- 64 pages of it, including the index and title page . I wrote a few device drivers, given that much information .

But you still do have to look at the stuff . It might be right . It *might* be helpful and understandable . Occasionally pigs *do* fly .

Doooh! It's just another case of "when all else fails....."etc. Do the same myself, jump on and have a ride and only after bucked off look for the saddle. It's not a newbie/techie thing, it's a people thing.
