| 55652 | 2002-06-21 01:13:00 | having been posting/reading material for a year on pressF1, and always assuming that I was registered user, since I recall registering (maybe that was in the f*** microsoft club) on today Fri 21 june 02 this pressF1 now calls me guest and required me to re-register. Did everyone have to do this? The setup wouldn't recognize either my previous user name, email address or password. A computer "guest" seems in a different category to the original usage of welcomed vistor, but is more on the lines of f****** nuisance, or leech as hotline etc calls it. What gives here? |

| 55653 | 2002-06-21 01:21:00 | You may have possibly missed the news regarding Press F1's changeover to a new forum, but that's what has happened. It was born yesterday! :-) No one had to register previously but it's a new feature designed to avoid all that typing in our name, email addy, etc. This one has lots of new features too, and is so much better. But to answer your question: yes this is the same Press F1, only with a new updated wardrobe! |

| 55654 | 2002-06-21 04:50:00 | Pressf1 never required you to register before - we didn't have any features that needed it. You had to put a name, and if you wanted email notifications, email address, every time you posted. | Biggles (121) | ||
| 55655 | 2002-06-21 04:56:00 | Yeah, this new version is heaps better. So fast and easy to use. :) But howcome after making a post the top of the page says "Welcome, Guest" when you're registered? ?:| |
