You can either press close to exit what your doing, or ignore to carry on working (ignore doesn't work. Any unsaved information will be lost. This message is closely followed by this one (something similar): This program has preformed an illegial opperation and will now be closed. i'm running windows 95, internet explorer and connect to ihug. i think this might be the cause of deleting a netscape navigator (which i don't have) entry in the registry. please help me, this is irgent as it's my parents computer! 56413 2002-06-22 09:00:00 Have you tried using your PC World CD to install/reinstall Internet Explorer 6.0? If not, do that and run through the setup wizard so that the connection is set up again. Won't take long Marty2001 (421)
56414 2002-06-22 09:15:00 internet explorer 6 doesn't work on windows 95. i have internet explorer 5.5, and theres no way i'm spending several hours downloading that unless it's absolutely necessary. Craig (448)
56415 2002-06-22 09:28:00 If you don't have any old Cds with IE5, then are you able to connect to the internet? If you use dial up networking - can you establish a connection? If so, then in control panel - have you tried the internet options and checking the connection options in there? Are you able to use Outlook express to get your email?
W95 comes with IE4.0 by default so there should be an IE5.0 CD lying around somewhere. Otherwise, use control panel and uninstall IE5.0. You are going to need an IE 5.0 CD to reinstall. Is the computer you are using to read this using IE6.0?

56416 2002-06-22 09:33:00 Why don't you just restore a previous working copy of the registry? Susan B (19)
