56342 2002-06-22 04:59:00 Since installing Easy Clean I notice that I have to delete unnecessary files on a daily basis. They are nearly always IE5 temp files. But I have IE6. Should this happen? poppy (552)
56343 2002-06-22 05:13:00 Hi Poppy

The short answer is yes. There is nothing significant in the IE6/IE5 nomenclature and you will accumulate temp files rapidly every time you surf.

56344 2002-06-22 08:17:00 Thanks Billy T for your prompt reply. Very reassuring. I have little room left on C drive (but heaps on D) and I have to delete every unnecessary thing to keep functioning. Many thanks poppy (552)
56345 2002-06-22 08:42:00 why not transfer the files over to d and link them back in?

for eg i have tempory net files, cookies, history,my docos etc on d: drive.

56346 2002-06-22 09:18:00 thanks again for prompt reply. I'm a bit green, how can you do that? poppy (552)
56347 2002-06-22 09:36:00 Try setting to 'remove temp Internet file on closing explorer' under advanced settings in IE Will (553)
56348 2002-06-22 09:55:00 In Internet Explorer go to Tools|Options|General and under the Temporary Internet Files section click on Settings.

Click on Move Folder and browser to the D drive where you want the temp files to go. Click OK all the way out.

You can also move your My Documents as well by dragging the folder to the D drive but you will have to go to each program that saves files in there to change the default location afterwards. You only have to do it once though so it would be worth it if you are running out of space.

Ask again if you are still unsure about anything. :-)
