| 55892 | 2002-06-21 08:45:00 | I recently had to reformat my hard drive and now I am getting warnings from guard dog. These pop up randomly. Two that puzzle me are: "Credit card information is being sent to an unsecure site" Who is this and how are they getting into my computer and what can I do apart from telling guard dog not to let it? "An ActiveX control is trying to scan files C:|Windows\fonts\Lhandw.TFF" Do I say yes or no to this one? What is it all about? Also when I checked my cookie file I find one there that tells me "Cookies notepad. Netscape cookie file. This is a generated file. Do not edit." Can I not delete cookies from here? Any input would be welcome. I thought I knew about computers until I got one and now find I know nothing. Dcameron |
