| 55884 | 2002-06-21 09:15:00 | You don't say what version of Norton's you use or which OS. My Norton's files seem to lurk in C:\Program Files\Nortons but as I left the program to install it and nothing has gone wrong I wouldn't have a clue how to fix your problem. If the program is asking for a location and giving you the option of specifying one - boot up your machine, open Windows Explorer, find the files, restart and type it in. |

| 55886 | 2002-06-21 23:01:00 | Have you uninstalled / reinstalled Nortons or done a system change as these problems generally occur when this happens. I have provided a link to service4.symantec.com l:us-sarc,url:us-lu,url:us-cs,url:/nav.nsf/b69c799adfa31ecc85256aa30052f4d0*qt=%2Bantivirus%2 0%2Bnot%20%2Blocated*miniver=nav_2002*sone=nav_200 2_tasks.html*stg=3*prod=Norton%20AntiVirus*ver=200 2%20for%20Windows%202000/NT/Me/98/XP*base=http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/nav/*next=nav_2002_contact_tscs_other.html*svy=*taskqu ery=*boolean=and&sone=nav_2002_tasks.html&stg=3&prod=Norton%20AntiVirus&ver=2002%20for%20Windows%202000/NT/Me/98/XP&base=http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/nav/&next=nav_2002_contact_tscs_other.html&src=sg&pcode=nav&svy=] ( [url) Symantec [/url] that looks specifically at the problem otherwise use the search engine on the Symantec Website (http://www.symantec.com) to locate your specific problem. good luck sam m |

| 55887 | 2002-06-22 02:23:00 | hi thanks to everyone who replied to this message, esspecially sam m. i went to the symantec website's support section, and found that norton antivirus was missing an essential file. i relised that this file had been removed using mcafee quickclean. lucky enough though, i was able to download the file and now norton antivirus is working smoothly again! :D many thanks, craig |
