2002-07-01 04:37:00 | Nice game of tag! :D Better stay in this thread, methinks.... Unfortunately I'm not aware of any threads that I didn't add any posts to that now have posts missing, but if I recall any I'll have a look and let you know.

2002-07-01 05:13:00 | OK - here's the deal. The export did indeed go wrong - it missed posts that went below a certain level, i.e. if someone replied to a reply of a reply to someone's reply, blah blah. So the problem occurs most on the longer threads. We trying to work out a way of bringing it all back in, but there are issues. For example, some of the old (pre-relaunch) threads have now been updated with new posts, which means we'd need to somehow sync the import of old data with the new data existing in those threads. Aaarrrggghhhh! So we are currently pondering what to. Will let you know ...

2002-07-01 05:40:00 | It's probably not worth sweating over Bruce. After all, no one else (apart from J Zep) has missed anything.... ;-) | Susan B (19) | |
2002-07-01 05:52:00 | by the time all the important bugs are ironed out, and this one gets the attention it probably doesnt deserve, surely the information in the threads will be obsolete anyway???? | Chris Wilson (431) | |
2002-07-01 06:08:00 | This is true, hence we are considering what to do. It is a shame to loose the info though. | Biggles (121) | |

2002-07-01 12:27:00 | ok small bug in cookies i think. did usual browse then went off to other sites (traitor i know, flame me later dudes). closed IE6. opened up IE, went to pressF1 and found a lot of new posts were not marked. eg posts marked as read when they in fact wern't read. | tweak'e (174) | |
2002-07-01 13:15:00 | I find the best way is to read all the new pressf1 posts and then fully exit IE before gong to other sites. Even when you are in pressf1 new posts get marked as read because tehy are made while you are actively in the forums.

2002-07-01 21:42:00 | Same applies with opera. I must fully exit, and come back later then the new post dots are refreshed

2002-07-01 21:55:00 | Red dots are session based, so get refreshed when the browser session is refreshed. | Biggles (121) | |
