2002-06-24 13:07:00 | Ok I get to PressF1 and I'm already logged on as yetti, I click on My watches and there is nothing there and i know I checked the watches box. I then click on My Settings and I'm a Guest having to log on. Which I do and at the opening page, ok. Press my settings and again I'm a Guest having to log on. I don't seem to be able to get to my Watches or Settings without having to Log On and it won't let me. Tried half a dozen times tonite, last nite as well as was the previous nite. Log on as merlin-nz ok with My Settings, but click on My Watches and get welcome, yetti. Hell go figure. So now can't check on My Watches for merlin-nz. Ok just dicovered the following after log out you get zip nothing seems to happen at all, just the screen flick, so you hit Refresh and you get the Guest settings. So if logging on as merlin-nz and clicking on My Settings and getting nothing but welcome, yetti. You press the Refresh button and you get My Settings in all its glory for merlin-nz and vise a versa for yetti. That happened in both names ( you press the Refresh Button and things look ok), for now will keep check on this. This was posted by merlin-nz or yetti. :^O

2002-06-26 04:43:00 | Last thing to load on any Pressf1 page is "ad.nz.doubleclick.net" and takes sooooooo long that times out. Something funny there. | mark c (247) | |
2002-06-26 06:05:00 | That's not a new PressF1 bug. That's the site that sends the banner saying "Your Computer Is Under THREAT!!!! Download Now". ]:)Sometimes it's too busy, so you get a timeout. You miss out on the banner that time. :-( This is not a bug; it's a feature . See, Bold Italic. How about Bold, Italic, Underlined ? Or bold tty This is starting to look like {Latex}.

2002-06-28 04:58:00 | Woo hoo!! The new forum is a week old and purring away like a self-satisfied cat with no more complaints (touchwood). Haven't you guys all done well. :-) Right, so can we get rid of this thread now? And the other Press F1 announcements (except the FAQ) while you're at it... Ta!! ;-)

2002-06-28 06:09:00 | Wrong, Susan. :D :D Minor formatting problem. ;-) I'll try to regenerate it. Here is a URL. itsfree4u.co.uk here is another: pages.prodigy.net Here is some ordinary text. But it has been bolded. If I put in the end_bold here, [/b], that should fix it. (and it did). I wonder if it wants "html" ... itsfree4u.co.uk and here is some more text. No it didn't do it. Maybe it's the length of the URL? pages.prodigy.net This line is ordinary text, but it runs on and inserts that " ". pages.prodigy.net And when I put in two <CR>s, we don't run on and don't get the bold,(but still inserts the " "). pages.prodigy.net Two <CR>s followed by some plain text ... [/b] I think it might be the length of the URL and "htm" rather than "html". ]:) I can crash anything . (If anyone's interested these are links which show where to find GIFs for emoticons).

2002-06-28 06:21:00 | Trust you to stir up more trouble Graham! :D What happens if I do it? pressf1.co.nz Is this bold too? That link was straight copy and paste. What about this: pressf1.co.nz That link was enclosed in url brackets. Nah, mine's OK - it's either your machine or your typing! :D

2002-06-28 06:35:00 | It takes skill and years of experience to cause this sort of trouble. ;-) Your lines are different: mine point at a file, and the *extension* matters, as does the length . Yours have script input hung on the end of a URL. That's sort of thing is enough to frighten off any respectable bug. ]:) | Graham L (2) | |
