An IP address is registered to the ISP so guessing a city from an IP address is a bit hit and miss (after all, although I am in Auckland I could use a Tauranga ISP). Guessing a country is fairly accurate.

I went to the site and saw that the first page I clicked wanted me to register. Are you sure you didn't give the city on registration?

Not at first, but then afterwards I went back and it said I was in "Napier" My guess is when you are on Internet, you get around, (I must see a doctor about my humor)

56468 2002-06-23 10:05:00 Rough guess... American site, designer once knew someone who went to Napier, vaguely remembers it's in New Zealand and promptly lists all unknown New Zealand IP addresses as Napier.

(I was in LA once. Lady says "New Zealand. I've heard it's very beautiful...... Is it near Hawaii?")
