An IP address is registered to the ISP so guessing a city from an IP address is a bit hit and miss (after all, although I am in Auckland I could use a Tauranga ISP). Guessing a country is fairly accurate. I went to the site and saw that the first page I clicked wanted me to register. Are you sure you didn't give the city on registration? |

American site, designer once knew someone who went to Napier, vaguely remembers it's in New Zealand and promptly lists all unknown New Zealand IP addresses as Napier. (I was in LA once. Lady says "New Zealand. I've heard it's very beautiful...... Is it near Hawaii?") |
