56192 2002-07-22 21:34:00 Chris - has it kept happening? Don't think we've done anything here. Biggles (121)
56193 2002-07-22 22:37:00 Bruce,
i've just got out of bed, but will monitor it....
my computer is bahaving like it needs a good reboot this morning, so it may well be me. I'll reboot when i get home, and see what happens.

56194 2002-07-23 00:15:00 I dunno what formula you guys use for the "Hot Topics" thingy, but it seems to be dead. It hasn't updated itself much in the last week.

I would have thought too that my "ISP Woes" thread should have been on the Hot Topics list at one stage, after having reached 75 posts in about a week.

No I'm not being snarky, just think the Hot Topic thingy could be looked into..

56195 2002-07-23 09:35:00 I think the problem was at my end.
Bloody windows, got to remember to reboot it every few days, or it goes silly

BTW, some of us want to see a Poppa J special icon

56196 2002-07-24 04:13:00 Bruce........my prob with getting logged out after making post (Opera 6.01 on Win98se) seems to have gone. :) mark c (247)
56197 2002-07-24 04:57:00 There you go then - like a fine wine your browser just needed time to mature . . . Biggles (121)
56198 2002-07-25 06:19:00 I've been havinhg a bit of trouble today. Dropping with 404s, then a couple of good ones:
Apache Tomcat 4.0 error 503
type Status report
message This application is currently not available
description The requested service (This application is currently not available) is not available
That was trying for PF1 home page again ...

Then (not) getting tweak'e 's news I got the Java compiler complaining about invalid characters in the forum code.
package org.apache.jsp;
input java. ...
... etc ...
input
com.jivesoftware.forum.*
with ^ pointing at each character in turn, until it hit the limit.
Too many errors (limit 100)
16385 errors

If I can post this, it must be OK now --- have you been "improving" things?

56199 2002-07-25 06:22:00 Yes - Jim had to take the server up and own a few times while testing something. Sorry about that. Biggles (121)
56200 2002-07-25 06:27:00 Don't DO that to me Bruce!

I just got a brand new external modem today and I thought it was crook already! :O

56201 2002-07-25 07:14:00 K, I'm gonna have a hard time explaining these, but I'll try....

The little link that says "thread map is off"....
i click it and the links at the top of the page (the ones that link to each reply on that post) disappear, and the "thread map off" changes to "thread map on". this seems strange.... when the links are on, it says that they are off, and when they are off, it says that they are on!

also when using Opera, the replies and the "thread map" are not tabbed out as they are in IE.
