| 56157 | 2002-07-14 01:51:00 | chris i feel your'e pain ;-) catch is new visters will not got the the 2nd & 3rd pages so all they see is a couple of posts (stickys take up a bit of room). if they post a post it dissappears quickly off the page. have you noticed how some people are multiposting cause thier post has dropped off the first page. for those who don't like to scroll down the page they can set it to a lower amount in the settings but for default i think it should be a lot more posts per page. btw mine is set to 100 posts per page and i have to scroll a fair bit to the bottom. |

Right thread, but ... ;-) I set long pages, because it seems to take about the same amount of time for the server to format a page and send it whatever the length --- so it's quicker for me to get long pages and scroll up and down. (Less overhead -- the stuff at the start of each page is the same length, but about 1/2 of a short list, much less of a long one). |
