| 56132 | 2002-07-09 01:30:00 | We still got a leetle problem Bruce: This one (pressf1.co.nz) The text in Merlin's post didn't revert to text after the link. I can see a space in the url's closing tag like this: < /a> Is that a fault or was it designed to do that in Merlin's posts? ]:) |

| 56133 | 2002-07-09 02:26:00 | I think it's because Merlin didn't close the URL formatting. The rest of his post is [b][u] bold and underlined | Graham L (2) | ||
| 56134 | 2002-07-09 10:10:00 | Using the search function: I used the search function tonight to look up "index.dat" and left the date range at "any". The resulting search results looks like a mad man with a yellow highlighter has taken to the page. All the spaces between each word has been highlighted along the the expected key search words as well as random letters from the general text. The same thing happens when I search "system.ini". Could it be the "." causing this? Cheers Jen |

| 56135 | 2002-07-09 21:48:00 | Sorry guys - been away for a long weekend. That problem with Merlin's post seems to be related to the URL conversion filter conflicting with one of the other filters - proabbaly word wrap. We've had it before. The best thing to do if your posting a lonish URL is to do what I've now done to the post - use the [url=] and iut's matching end parameter to link the text, rather than just pasting in the URL. This seems to get around the problem. |

| 56136 | 2002-07-09 23:33:00 | Yeah, that's what I do Bruce, but not all other people are aware of that trick. So, where did you sneak away to for a long weekend then? Sydney to get an X-Box? :D :D |

Does the logging off when previewing happen every time? This used to happen before we sorted out some URL problems (which dumped you out of the session when the URL chnaged) but we fixed that one a while back . What browser and security settings are you using? |

| 56140 | 2002-07-11 02:44:00 | I get logged out after posting, sometimes. Using Opera 6.01 on Win98se with all cookies enabled and but refuse pop-ups. If you get a bit of deja vu about this it's coz I've said it before. Humble newbie not wishing to cause probs to noble techs. :) |

How often does it happen Mark, as a rough % of the times you post? |
