| 56774 | 2002-06-23 13:18:00 | It's a long stroy to tell... Just yesterday, I wanted to debug my web site on my computer so I tried reactivating IIS (I use WinXP Pro), but the service just won't start! I tried uninstalling it, but the setup will crash (it freezes)... then I try this under safe-mode - it worked - I reinstalled it, but the IIS service still won't start. Well, the iis.msc won't even start properly... I then tried reinstalling Windows (over my old one). Something more weird happen this time - right now, I can't even access any folder's "properties" settings. Nothing will happen if I click on "Properties" (only folders - files property option still work) And also, before reinstalling Windows, I think there's something wrong with System Restore - I tried using it, but it crashes as well... Well, can anyone think of what's wrong? This is the most weird problem I've ever encountered... |
