OK When OK is clicked a new error message reads: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program: C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT OFFICE\OFFICE\WINWORD.EXE abnormal program termination OK When OK is clicked the word processor closes. Please help me solve this problem as, it has me beat! | 56742 | 2002-06-23 13:07:00 | Check (and I mean thoroughly) for a program called "Common Name Taskbar 3.0". If you have it, get rid of it. It is the cause of many headaches. However, I suspect it is not the cause of yours. If this is the case, the nyour best bet would be to re-install windows over top (as apposed to uninstall and then reinstall) and this should, hopefully fix any corrupt DLLs that you may have while keeping your settings. Of course, back up first. |

| 56743 | 2002-06-24 08:22:00 | I would suggest just a reinstall of Office, rather than all of Windows. In my experience, the Office CD has all of the files needed for Office to run, including any shared DLL's (such as the Microsoft C++ runtime libraries). Try a reinstall/repair of your Office installation and see if it helps. |
