2002-06-24 04:17:00 | OK, as discussed over at this thread (pressf1.co.nz), we think we've fixed the problem that lead to the "null" in preview and other problems. We haven't been able to replicate the problems of "null" in preview, apparent logging out after posting etc since the fix we did. Could all those who've had problems with: 1] "null" appearing in preview 2] URLs changing to "candy.idg.co.nz" 3] being logged out (i.e welcomed as "Guest") after posting or changing settings 4] Personal settings changes not being saved ... try and see if you can still get the problems. This may also resolve other problems that we related to this.

2002-06-24 04:26:00 | Bruce, Have done a couple of quick checks... 1. Preview seems ok no 'null'ing anyway. 2. Didn't have that issue that I remember 3. Nope not getting logged out back to guest after post or settings updates 4. Personal settings changing ok. Cheers, Babe.

2002-06-24 04:59:00 | Tried again - this time I was logged in automatically. Problem has disappeared. Will keep trying to break it! :-) G P

2002-06-24 05:02:00 | Can you explain it a bit more? Some questions - did you shut down )or whatever browser you use) completely (I.e. closed ALL windows) before going back to F1 the second time? Did you actually make soem setting chnages that first time? | Biggles (121) | |
2002-06-24 05:13:00 | OK. No I did not close all browser windows (usingIE6). Had one other open - only closed the pressf1 one. Made no changes, just viewed posts. The second time when I logged in, I had to do the old "My Settings>Save and Return" to get the display looking right. Problem seems to have disappeared now. Maybe it was me. Will let you know if it does it again. G P

2002-06-24 13:12:00 | :-) It is all good here now - awesome - the candy url (which i was only getting when i chose - Emoticons - Formatting Options - Quote Original Post ) is now press f1 B-), and i just previewed B-) as, no null on preview and its loading faster - i think? One other thing i have noticed now is that it would show the poster location e.g yours From: Auckland, but none of them are showing now and i noticed you have changed yours and its still Auckland? - They show for everbody in their profiles when you look, but just not on the screen - not that that bothers me, but thought i might mention it. I THINK YOU HAVE IT PRETTY WELL SUSSED BRUCE - WELL DONE - AND THE PRESSURE WAS MOUNTING - LOL :D
