57068 2002-06-25 01:04:00 Hi Team :D

I'm trying to do some regular (paying) work for a change but while I've been away lounging on PF1, Word 2000 has got the sulks and hidden the ruler/tabs bar. :( If I hover the mouse it drops into view, but I'd really like it back as a permanent fixture and I've gone spare trying to find anything in the Help file to sort it out. I think that darned dog ate it!

Any suggestions on how I can resurrect it please?

Cheers

57069 2002-06-25 03:21:00 Billy,

You've probably already tried this, but go:
View > Ruler

Make sure there is a little tick next to ruler (well in XP anyway - but I know it's similar if not the same for 2000).

57070 2002-06-25 08:29:00 Well bugger me backwards and call me rogered!

That was it Callum. Now what I want to know is why I couldn't find that right in front of my nose, and right after that I want to know how something I couldn't find to fix, I (or those damned bubnchs) managed to get hooked into left field in the first place!

Cheers

57071 2002-06-25 09:24:00 Don't want to make you feel bad Billy, because it was those damned bubnchs that have somehow found their way to this nice new forum, but I almost suggested that solution but I thought it was a much too simple one and I thought you would already have tried that.
(takes big deep catch-up breath for long sentence).
But never mind, as long as it's fixed now. :-)

57072 2002-06-25 10:14:00 Well Howdy-Doody Susan!

Haven't chatted to you in ages. Posted a message for you in the lounge this evening though.

I'm knackered now so I'm off to beddie-byes. Early start in the morning.

See you in the soup!

57073 2002-06-25 12:44:00 That's ok Billy, I often wonder how computer stuff can be fine one second and then seem to change on their own the next.

Occam's Razor, Susan :D
All things being equal, the simplest explanation/solution is usually correct.

Glad I could help, Billy.
