| 57459 | 2002-06-26 08:13:00 | I recently got a sony NetMD and after in installed the software for it, the computer became not too keen to go into hibernation mode. My guess is because of the NetMD driver, as in the manual it says that hibernation should be disabled when using the NetMD. Is there anyway to override this so that the computer does go into hibernation? |

A while back I had problems and discovered many of the common programs are not suited to hibernating, seems to depend on hardware I suspect. Problems are often quite subtle like cursor changes, missing cursor, others cause unexpected crashes some time later. Hard to pin down but they all went away when hibernation was stopped Reading problems people are getting on this forum, one wonders if the two are linked. I run remarkably trouble free, but then I dont suspend or hibernate my systems now. (all 4 of them) |
