| 57147 | 2002-06-25 09:25:00 | I have a Laptop PIII/800MHz. I have almost finished ripping my favourite CD tracks to HD, and arranging them into compilations. Its not too much trouble to connect up to the stereo for playback, but my wife likes what shes heard and wants to listen to them while reading in bed. I have a good quality ghetto blaster with LINE IN, but its too cumbersome to connect to the laptop there. Also if she runs true to form, shell want to replay tracks, and probably reshuffle the order to her satisfaction. I dont want to burn them to CD as that is too inflexible. The answer is some type of MP3 device, but there doesnt seem a great deal on offer in retail stores. All suggestions welcome as to a suitable type of device/memory options/ease of down-loading etc. Thanks. | Shortstop (632) | ||

| 57149 | 2002-06-25 23:56:00 | I use a Minidisc. Download to Mini Disc. Then plug the minidisc into the AUX port in the back of the stereo. Wicked Sound. | Kiwi (555) | ||
| 57150 | 2002-06-26 04:40:00 | Or you could go and spend $1300 on a Creative Nomad Jukebox (pcworld.co.nz) - 20Gb hard drive to store all the mp3s. Also check the MP3 player reviews at PC World (pcworld.co.nz) |
