I have a 4month old machine, running WindowsXP with Netscape as my browser of choice. 3 days ago, I went to check mail to find that the Account Wizard pops up with the New Account Setup box - and this is the 3rd time this has happened since I bought the computer. I cannot access the mail that I have saved, and to go through and set up the account again, means that I lose all the saved mail, folders etc that I have. I run PC-cillin, Nortons Antivirus and ZoneAlarm and the latest automatic virus scan 4 days ago was clear.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening, and if I would be better off going back to IE. I have used Netscape with no problems for 3 years before purchasing this machine. |

Being a conspiracy theorist, I'd have to say that due to the heavy integration of Windows XP and Internet Explorer the system is sneakily killing off your ability to use Netscape's mail system. I've personally found Netscape Mail to be more trouble than it's worth, I would suggest moving to something else for your e-mail like Outlook Express, Eudora, or my client of choice, Pocomail. |
