| 57805 | 2002-06-27 12:34:00 | My wife runs Win95 on a Pentium 90. Suddenly it won't boot. She gets the error message "While initialising device VFBACKUP VFBACKUP could not load VFD.VXD Please run setup again." We tried starting with a rescue floppy. With this she got scandisc to run and this reported it had "fixed" problems with files. But trying to boot from the C Drive again was futile, the initial error message appeared once more. She needs to access her files, GST and all that ... I am no techie, so help will be much appreciated. She is making noises about using my machine, which raises the issue of what to do with all those Asian erotica jpegs and my extensive list of blond Russian PhDs looking for caring males. This could get serious .... I await your input Peter |
