| 57747 | 2002-06-27 09:04:00 | I am running Win2K with a HP CD12 CD writer & Sony CD Rom. Although both HP & Sony are recognised in Win Eplorer , I cannot get the CD Rom to read CD's. It Keeps on coming up with "Insert CD" at all times.( It will play music CD's but not data). Installing a program is a nightmare ! I end up using the HP. I have been told this is a common problem with Win2K. Does anybody know of a workaround? I can't find anything on the MS Knowledge base. The PC is a Gigabyte board , P3/1gHz with 256m Mem. |
