| 57632 | 2002-07-06 06:47:00 | you most likely have lot of registry problems do a scan disk using norton win doctor or Fix-it utility that i find better personally then once you clear out all your problems de a defrag I persoanally now use Diskeeper which is faster and allows you to surf etc while it defrags also doesnt upset GoBack as does norton 2002 speed disk. | kiwibeat (304) | ||

Tried 'Safe Mode' with no change from trying in Windows. Even tried from DOS but my '\' key was not 'turned on'. Can anybody help, please. PeterE |

My three replys, one to the original supplier of the FAQ solution in this case, one to Robo, the 'Press F1' Moderator and one to yourself as I have seen a great deal of useful input under your name. I imagined the FAQ section would be the 'Bees Knees' for Newbys and anyone else who is seeking susinct, acurate answers to any of the many FAQs which appear on this site. I realize this is all done by 'volunteers' but if any individual who is seeking help is left confused by the quality of the 'help' it is not much help at all. I eventualy ran a Scan and Defrag by closing ALL tasks except 'Explorer' and 'Systray'. I am sure there must be a simpler way of doing this! Best regards from PeterE. |
