On my Win 7 machine, attempting to add the printer (which is attached to the Vista machine) in 'Devices and printers' nets me the following: iforce.co.nz (www.iforce.co.nz) Problem is, HP don't offer the driver for download other than by plugging the printer into the PC in question and letting Windows Update grab it. Am I even going about this the right way? I had to click "the printer I want isn't listed">"select shared printer by name"> and then browse into the Vista machine on the network and select the printer there. (this is all from the Win 7 machine, and it and the Vista machine can talk to each other fine AFAIK) |

I might indeed try taking the printer into the other room with the Win 7 PC and plugging it in and letting Windows 7 install the driver...but really, that's totally backwards though. Thanks HP. | Kindel (6640) | ||
