Bit of a bummer really as we are freehold here but sometimes you just have to go where the jobs are, just don't want to move there much prefer to stay in Nelson | gary67 (56) | ||

| 1281064 | 2012-06-11 07:22:00 | I've had to treat most of the North Island as a single job market, Towns, cities, districts all become meaningless, If I can drive there in a few hours then I apply for the job. The only thing that could make it worse would be including Auckland in my job search area. |

Diploma in Information and communications from Nelson polytechand some IT type papers from the Open Polytech, several years of fixing and building friends computers, network cabling. 3D printing and basic CAD design with Solid works. Permanent long term injury to my right shoulder which means any type of physical work is out. So take your pick |

| 1281071 | 2012-06-11 12:59:00 | Hmm, yeh, I hope you have got some friends or such that can house you for a while, as Nick said, there is a huge housing shortage in Chch and even trying to rent a place is pretty difficult, not only are they hard to come by, but the price of renting has nearly trippled (money hungry landlords taking advantage of the housing problem). Im sure you have seen on the news etc of people sleeping in cars, vans etc, it is really quite bad. I really hope something in Nelson comes up before you have to move, Chch really isnt the place to be but if you can get established here, I'm sure you will find something you can do easily enough. Hope you have good balance, you need it from time to time when the ground moves under your feet :) | Iantech (16386) | ||
