1280680 2012-06-09 05:48:00 Hi all,

I have an ASUS WL-520gU router. I had it set up as a repeater bridge to increase the range of my wireless.

However, I have lost the power supply for it in a house move and would very much like to get it going again. I have tried using a DSE voltage switching power adaptor, but these only output 500mA - the router needs 2A. I have also tried the adaptor from my flatmates' Linksys WRT160N and it works well with my router.

Does anyone have the power supply for one of these routers that they would be willing to gift/sell to me?

The power specs on the bottom of the router are:
- 5V
- 2A

TIA! :)

1280681 2012-06-09 05:59:00 According to the ASUS site: (www.asus.co.nz)

Power WL-520GU: DC Output: +5V with max. 2A current Note: Use only the adapter included in the package. Using other adapters may damage the device. One of these might work (www.rapalloav.co.nz)

But, you would have to check if the end fits

Would probably be better quality.

Not sure where you get that from!

Power = Volts x Amps in this case 5v x 2A = 10 Watts, not 500.

1280687 2012-06-11 06:45:00 If you don't get one from other sources, Jaycar will sell you a 5V 3.0A universal adapter with multiple connector types for $26.50. Their products are good quality and their warranty policies excellent. Cat MP-3480
