| 1280607 | 2012-06-08 23:24:00 | For those who recently got a Schick Hydro 5 razor, how are you finding it. I find mine excellent. Gives me a smooth close shave. One cartridge lasts me at least 2 weeks. I have stockpiled 5 packets of cartridges as they have been on sale for $15 instead of the usual $20. I use too use a Gillette Power Fusion razor with cartridges costing about $28 and never at a sale price. I think the Schick shaves just as got as the Fussion if not better. :) |

| 1280612 | 2012-06-09 03:44:00 | I had someone insisting that it was corrosion that dulled the blades, and that keeping the head in oil will keep it sharp. Can't claim to have tried it, and I remain somewhat sceptical. I only use a blade if I've gone more than 2 days without using the rotary shaver. The blades definitely get pretty savage on the job as they age, with a lot more pulling, and a need for a lot more repeat strokes to get the job done. I'd be surprised if I ever used a blade more than 10 times. |
