Well no, Your edit makes no sense, If what i wrote broke a rule then the rule is at fault.

"Locked in" is what I meant, which is why I wrote it.

Ingrained may have been a better choice of words. "into" certenly isn't.

I'm not going to bother correcting that one. After all, you can take a horse to water.... and all that..

Excellent, keep it up, I look forward to more quality work in the same vein. You aren't leading anything, anywhere, nevermind providing refreshments.

1280862 2012-06-11 01:27:00 Considering the wearing of a hat is no different from wearing socks, would you expect someone to remove their socks just because you (for some crazy reason) find the wearing of socks an offensive act.

The banks different, I consider that any premises has the right to enforce a dress code, But how crazy would it be if some random civ entered the bank and then started telling people in there that they had to dress in a way they said or they were pig ignorant.

I'd consider wearing a hat the same as wearing SHOES, and I would remove my shoes if my host asked me to.
I would not generally wear a hat indoors (it feels weird), but if I was, and was asked by my host to remove it, I would.

1280863 2012-06-11 01:51:00 A long thread over what's really a non-issue :)

Wearing a hat is no big deal, being asked to remove it at the table is no big deal either. Both parties overreacted to what should never have been an issue to either one of them in the first place.
Accepting that other people have different values and Ideas with regard to manners and behaviour is part of life, making an issue out of it just causes undue stress on yourself.

Oh and

Hey, we could swing this whole thread around to the question of correct grammar, sentence construction and spelling. After all that's another, (some would no doubt say b******t way of assessing someone's mettle (www.merriam-webster.com)(as distinct from "metal")!!

slipped up there:eek:
