1281413	2012-06-14 21:50:00	Whats actually up with that. They have hiked up the price of tobacco, they are adding 2c per litre to fuel in the next week or two I heard, yet they leave booze alone. . Because 99% of them drink. Can't have that can we, even though alcohol causes more problems than smoking.	pctek (84)

Broadly speaking here, some may go out more often, and do trips . But a family on a standard income might sacrifice a lot and send their children to private schools, maybe after school tutoring . Those coming here might be making an investment that's it is an better place to bring up families etc . . better work life balance maybe . Cos overseas in some places you don't get the welfare or the pension unless you met a v strict criteria . It's that you work to survive over there and if that means a uni grad goes to work in a fast food restaurant that I have heard .	Nomad (952)

1281416	2012-06-15 03:39:00	My only concern is about the workers who have been doing hard manual work for the last 40 years and are basically knackered ... another two years and they may be in the ground. A lot different to an accountant or doctor who do very little hard manual work and can keep on going ... especially if you fit a couple of "D" size Duracells and replace them every six weeks or so ... :D Wrong its just because manual workers smoke, drink and eat fatty food. smoke choke croak	prefect (6291)

Why can't those who cannot work through no fault of their own, claim a pension if they are near the age of retirement, instead of going through all this crap of being on an 'invalid' benefit/sickness benefit etc? It is just so ridiculous in this country! Surely the Govt in charge can sort this problem out? I mean, don't they have any intelligent people in charge of all these things?
