| 1281084 | 2012-06-12 07:27:00 | Unemployment and/or not enough money to pay the bills over getting a job - in fact being able to pick and choose is what decided me, not stupid prejudices about a place. Its a balancing act really. Where we live work is seasonal and no matter where you work the work tends to slow down this time of year no matter waht your area of expertise (or lack of is). The balncing act comes when you find work and then is it enough work to make it worthwhile! No good taking on a job when your going to be worse off than on the dole and the bills dont change because you have a job or not! Having a job means the added burden of Travel to work costs! We own our own house when we purchased it the employment was stable and affordable! The bright sparks say move then! Not so easy when you got you own home that needs to be sold first! Then they say then rent somewhere else! Oh well that home millstone is still there a $300 per week for rent kind cuts into a wage. Next response is rent you own home out! Erm yea and hope you get a good tenant that dont trash the place while you try and sell it! Oh and who will be renting your house if you can not find a job in the area thats causing you to move? Yep an unemployed person! Pretty hard choices to make really! At least if your freehold you got some flexability. |
