2012-10-03 05:05:00 | iirc 72*C is the max design operating temp for the 2500k. so you're fine. This. Any higher and your computer should automatically downclock your cpu to lower temperatures. Unless of course you have disabled it. Oh and another thing, things seem to lag more - marginally. Do I have to wait for the games to get used to my new specs or something? Is this compared to your old althon system?

2012-10-03 06:08:00 | did you bump up the settings at all? Your gpu will be bottlenecking your performance and chances are bottlenecking your old system too. | icow (15313) | |
2012-10-03 06:12:00 | No settings bump at all. Skyrim lags more. I had it on medium and still do. Rage works WAY better, Minecraft on highest works fine (no far render, needs 64 Bit Java) Mass Effect 3 lags just a fraction on highest settings and the same with Burnout Paradise.

2012-10-03 08:31:00 | My current 3570K is using a Hyper 212 evo and @ 4.2Ghz is hitting the high 50's occasionally getting into the 60's Hyper 212 evo all the way, so cheap and so effective as long as your case has reasonable airflow.

2012-10-03 10:20:00 | I was hitting a bootable 4.3ghz with my 965 under an evo 212. Just 0.1ghz off of a 1ghz overclock. Want to get it under water when I build my next pc to see how far it will really go. | icow (15313) | |

2012-10-04 00:05:00 | water cooling makes you feel like a pro until its time to move your pc and you have to spend an hour draining a loop that you made look nice but not super great at draining. | Slankydudl (16687) | |
