All I had to do after connecting everything up was too install my own software Nothing was installed, just bought the tower , I mean the hardware was installed, just had to install drivers and other software and Win 7. Everything working fine so far, now just the matter of transferring files, programs etc over from Vista machine. @ pctek, I could have purchased an extended 3 year warranty but chose not to. (was that a bad decision?) I would expect all parts to last a reasonable time ie longer than one year. Should be covered by cga for a reasonable period ? LL |

| 1304724 | 2012-10-03 03:12:00 | Extended warranties are a have, the manufacturers warranties on the parts will be longer than 1 year in most cases and the CGA does cover you fairly well also. If you look up the components you will almost definately find the key ones have 3yr or better warranty periods |

| 1304725 | 2012-10-03 03:20:00 | Just looked up the CPU, 3 year warranty. It just means you may have to argue with the supplier or go directly to the manufacturer if anything fails after the first year. I wouldn't worry, most of these shops are aware that the CGA overides these anyway and get helpful when it's mentioned. |
