1280953 2012-06-11 01:04:00 there is a rata street in Inglewood....stuff like that happens there too i bet. Good yarn PcTek  Gobe1 (6290)
1280954 2012-06-11 02:39:00 It can be a problem when you dial 111 now that they have centralisation. There are most likely a lot of Rata Streets around the country. In a distressed state callers can forget to tell the operator what town that they are in. The call centre operator should have enough training to glean all the information that is needed. Bobh (5192)
1280955 2012-06-11 02:40:00 Eventful life? Well, I wasn't there, just him, I missed the entertainment.

He was a bit annoyed with the call centre, telling them it would me a murder soon, tried Avondale, tried New Lynn, yes he had mentioned Auckland.
Still, who knows where the call centre person was located and whether even they were a NZ born person.... considering half the neighbourhood was also ringing I expect it was clear fairly shortly.

His version of the story took about 2 hours to tell me.....

Have to say I did laugh when he mentioned running inside and the HH ran in with him....especially his outrage as he was telling me this....I could just picture his horror....oh and there was a bit of a mess in his friends place too as the guy bled all over his carpet. Ick.

Apparently spade guy was the woman's brother. Husband went to friends again yesterday and spade guy is paying for the ute damage - either to us or to insurance, which ever way we want to do it. He came out and apologised and offered.
