Does anyone have experience with either of these mice? I like the look of both of them, and the reviews seem generally positive. Is there anything else I should consider in a similar price bracket? I have looked at the Razer Death Adder, but I'm not hugely popular of the fluro logo (but thats me being picky, if it performs leaps and bounds ahead of the Steelseries mice, I'd consider it)

Thanks in advance

1305208 2012-10-05 00:18:00 neither, i personally don't think steelseries is a good brand. a better option is a rat7 www.cyborggaming.com or a razor death adder if you don't want to pay so much Slankydudl (16687)
1305209 2012-10-05 01:36:00 I don't mind the looks of the Death Adder, but I couldn't handle something like that cyborg mouse. I prefer a much more simple yet elegant look, as opposed to the flash 'i'm a spacecraft' look midgetmines (15261)
1305210 2012-10-05 01:41:00 Logitech G500, G9x, or G700. inphinity (7274)
1305211 2012-10-05 02:30:00 the G500 is better than the G700, odd how Logitech does that Slankydudl (16687)

How so? I prefer the G700, because of the flexibility to use it wired or wireless, and the additional number of macro-able buttons. The only thing the G500 does better is it has more fine-tunable weight management.

1305213 2012-10-05 02:57:00 yeah thats exactly it the nice feature it had was gone and replaced by macros which are nice but you can do without them and use your keyboard. plus you feel like a pro with "fine tunable weights" in your mouse! Slankydudl (16687)
1305214 2012-10-05 04:11:00 I'm with inphinity!

The SteelSeries is nice, but they're way overpriced.
The Cyborg RAT mice are customizable and all but I didn't like how they felt in my hand.

I have two G500's and a G700. I use the G500 as my primary one, and on my spare PC with the G700 being for my laptop. That said the G700 is probably a little bit nicer, even if you don't use the wire, it comes with a MicroUSB cable you can use to keep it permanently plugged in. I also like the heavier weight of the batteries. A couple of grams here and there on the G500, lets be honest, I'd never know the difference...

The Macros on both of them, customizable buttons and things, it's absolutely FANTASTIC! Huge help playing DotA when you don't wanna have to hit the item key, and on my G500 I have one of the mice buttons bound as a Voice key in TeamSpeak for Push-to-Talk!

I only have two G500s because the G700 was quite a bit more expensive when I first got them. Given the chance now though I'd go all G700s, hands down, wouldn't even have to think about it! :D

1305215 2012-10-05 04:32:00 I have a razor death adder and a razor impregnatior or some stupid name but they are both great mice and i would take them over the logitech ones imo. Slankydudl (16687)
1305216 2012-10-05 04:40:00 I have a logitech G500 and I love it! 100% recommend it! Nikit07 (16761)
