| 57893 | 2002-06-28 00:38:00 | Have noticed that the clock in the computer looses about 5 minutes every 3 - 5 days. Have disabled the synchronize option in the control panel to no avail. Is there something else I'm missing? (I am running XP). | Craigb (688) | ||
| 57894 | 2002-06-28 01:09:00 | I think there is a battery you need to replace....... Maybe someone else can verify this | Baldy (26) | ||
| 57895 | 2002-06-28 01:15:00 | Unlikely the battery if a recent PC but not impossible. If the time is being lost when the PC is off, maybe battery. If the time is ok when it boots but is lost while running (or if you never turn it off) have a look at this thread, it affects XP as well. pressf1.co.nz |

| 57896 | 2002-06-28 01:18:00 | More: As the loss is not significant, maybe a "mud" crystal that is simply running slow (after all its 99.3% based on your figures.) PCs are not chronometers, such errors are possible with an out of spec or edge of spec crystal |
