| 57840 | 2002-06-27 21:36:00 | My son responded to a hoax email and has deleted a file can you please help with correcting this. So the file deleted is "jdbgmgr.exe" and I am using an up dated win 95. When I searched and deleted this file two appeared with a little bear as icon. Both got deleted. Thanks for any help you can offer |

Also tell him that any time he gets an email telling him to delete a file or a warning about a virus to go here: www.symantec.com and check it out. |

| 57845 | 2002-06-28 22:42:00 | Should never repond to emails with "virus information" in them. What's his "HOME" page? I personally use nzcity (http://www.nzcity.co.nz), any genuine virus warnings make the news very fast and they'll have news about any hoaxes as well. If I send virus info in emails I just send a link to the news item. B-) | cadifan (286) | ||

The rule is - never delete a file or pass on a virus warning unless you've checked it first. Norton Anti-virus have a brilliant site for information www.symantec.com Check this first - and tell your mates about it if they send you a hoax. |
