| 57868 | 2002-10-10 09:27:00 | One more thing - I have just been playing with Karen's Autorun.inf editor, an I am having trouble getting the icon and label to show up. Everything seems OK, but the icon is not displayed (a blank icon takes it's place) and the label is that of the disc itself. (OK I can change this manually, but what is the pint of the label tag in the inf file then???) Any ideas? I am burning using Nero. OS is XP Pro G P |

It shows up fine in my computer. strange because the PC World ones work, and even if I try to use the PCWorld icon it still won't work. Sal - the only downside to a batch file is that a command prompt flashes on the screen for a second while it loads the file, but of course you can get it to do all sorts of things. Makes you wonder - what if I gave you a CD which autoran a batch which deleted the contents of some of your folders without prompting, or installed a virus behind the scenes. Makes you think about disabling autorun and scanning the CD for viruses and checking to see what autorun.inf is running before you autoplay the CD. G P |
