I am working from a ME based computor through a Fiery Rip running NT
The hub is a 10/100 but i find that I am sending down at high speed but back to me is extremely slow. we have proven that it is my computor at fault but I would like to find out where to start looking to correct the problem |

Have you tried a different network card? |

If your ethernet adaptor allows, set the speed to 10M (assuming your adaptor is 10/100). If your throughput improves, check the cabling. I have seen an installation where some idiot wired RJ45s as 4 parallel pairs. This gave 1 pair and 2 half pairs for the RX/TX circuits - managed to work at 10M, but absolutely abysmal performance at 100M. |

Right on Wuppo, I have seen that as well. Usually when an electrician decides to do it, no understanding of data, characteristic impedance or balance. |
