| 58198 | 2002-06-29 02:34:00 | A couple of months ago I had to do a 'clean' install of windows ME, but since then I have had to put in restore points manually - no system restore points have been created. There is plenty of disk storage space, I check for Windows updates weekly, and the restore works to any of my manually created points. I have also turned the restore function off, and then back on again to clear any possibly corrupt restore points that may have been in the system. (The clean install was Microsoft NZ's idea because they could not figure out why my system would not restore to any of 30+ restore points.) How do I get my system to start creating "System Restore Points" again? | jpatrick (737) | ||

GoBack would only create a restore point when the computer was idle and all was well and no data was being written to hard drive. I found that something was using resources regularly and as a result GoBack could not create restore point. Not sure if MS RESTORE does the same but worth a look. | sam m (517) | ||
