| 58073 | 2002-06-28 13:30:00 | Everytime I hook up my Lexmark printer and my HP scanner to my Toshiba laptop, my A drive stops functioning.I then have to un-install both printer and scanner to get it working again. Can anyone give me simple instructions on how to have both printer and scanner and A drive working together. Thanks |

Depending on the answer to that question, you might need to set some resource settings in control panel, system, devices. Maybe note what resources the floppy uses, then make sure the printer and scanner are using different ones. robo. |

| 58075 | 2002-06-28 23:11:00 | Robo, the printer is parallel and the scanner is USB. I have no problems if I have my printer (parallel) and my CD Writer (USB) connected only when I hook up the scanner.........help! | mikey (724) | ||

The "computer" bits will run on 3.3 V (probably), but the floppy will need 5V. I can't see that a scanner will pull "only" 500 mA at 5V. If the floppy hasn't got full volts, it will flop. :-( Can you feed the scanner power from a wallbrick? | Graham L (2) | ||

| 58079 | 2002-06-29 19:15:00 | Ooh, a multi-post. Anyway, if it disables the floppy so that rebooting doesn't work and reinstallation is required, something more sinister is going on. Does it say anything about device conflist in device manager about the floppy when it does fail? robo. |
