58656 2002-06-30 13:16:00 In the Award Bios setup there is a setting "AT Bus clock"

Settings range from 7.16mhz, CLK 2/2, 2/3, 2/4, 2/5, 2/6

1] Which is the fast end of the scale?
2] What difference should they make?

I have it on Auto which defaults to 2/4

58658 2002-07-01 06:30:00 It will change the access speed of the ISA bus. The 1983 AT would haave had 8 MHz. The I/O clock on more recent ones would be 25 or 33 MHz, for 25 or 50 MHz 486s, and DX,33 DX2/66, DX4/100. I guess that the clock (for the ISA slots) would be divided down. "Clk 2/2" will be whatever the PXI slots are at, "2/6" will be divided by 3. The 7.13 will be the "14 and a bit" Mhz clock on the ISA bus which is there for the old video cards. Them's my guesses, anyway. It probably won't make much difference to the perceived speed of your computer. Graham L (2)
