Is is possible to use the dialup networking application to connect & communicate between two computers. I want to share files with a friend. If not, any other ideas which don't involve me having to install new software would be appreciated. Running Win98se |

You can. Depending on your version of OS, you may need to install the 'dialup server'. See q139710 (support.microsoft.com) for details |

If you have your own website you could create a private FTP folder, upload files to it, and give the other person exclusive access. If not, search around for a free server/virtual hard drive - there used to be some good ones such as freedrive.com, but it's gone to the dogs now. |
