58688 2002-07-01 01:29:00 My wife has pI computer with 128megs/ram, 3gig HDD, usb with win95b/c with IE5.0. For some reason she is being disconnected from the internet (Xtra acc) I have checked all Possible reasons (that i am aware of under properties etc). Most connection lengths are 1-2mins. We are sharing the same acc and I am having NO problems connecting through my laptop (XP with IE6) I do not connect to Telecom when she is connected. Can someone out there help please because it is giving grief! KevCole (774)
58689 2002-07-01 01:58:00 Would be worthwhile reloading your modem drivers, assuming its an internal PCI "soft" modem, as a start. A corrupted driver could cause this. godfather (25)
58690 2002-07-01 04:40:00 If you havent already done so, it could also be worthwhile updating your TCP/IP stack to Winsock2, and also Dial Up Networking to version 1.3.

To get these updates for Win95 go to:
www.microsoft.com

You will have to scroll down the page to find them. There is also a y2k update for winsock/dun.

58691 2002-07-02 03:23:00 Thanks Terry and the 'god-father' will try those ideas...not to sure about the software modem driver though (it is a pci card) will check under hardware for the driver name.

Thanks
