godfather, I think he's asking about the feature in Excel whereby you can hold down the Ctrl key and select non-contiguous lines (or cells in Excel) throughout the document.

In Word 2000 you are 'limited' to using either the Clipboard (max 12 entries) or the Spike (which is a little clumsy but works quite well).
