58703 2002-07-01 02:18:00 Okay don't laugh......

I have a P166 with 48MB RAM and a 4MB video card. When playing some higher resolution videos, they stutter and don't play properly.

Short of having to upgrade (no money), am I better of putting in more RAM or an upgraded Video card to try and resolve this problem.

Thanks in advance.

58704 2002-07-01 04:30:00 its hard to say because it depends on what video you are trying to veiw. some high quality ones require good 3d video cards and 300mhz pc before they are watchable. see the news item about mpeg4 hardware decoder for underpowered pc's. tweak'e (174)
