| 59211 | 2002-07-02 06:38:00 | Can someone please tell me what is it that Microsft find fast does? I have looked up the help files but there's no topic on it. I ask this question because it comes up now and agian saying it has errors and the message box asks me to cancell or ignore. I have gone to the start up menu and switched of the automatic update function. Is this a wise thing to do and could find fast be the reason my system locks up every now and again? I have win95. Cheers ahead of time |

| 59212 | 2002-07-02 06:57:00 | Find Fast is an indexing program that is installed with Microsoft Office that assists the search function by searching all your Hard Disk contents and caching the results. It can be a resource hog, and isn't really needed, so disabling is always an option Look here for an explanation and a link to disabling instructions support.microsoft.com |
